Prepare

As part of Zion's faith community we gather to practice living faithfully, learn what it means to be Christ's disciples and share God's love. Through the many ministries here and those we feel called to in the greater community, we live out our baptismal promise in our daily lives. There are many ways you can live, grow and share at and through Zion.

  • Cradle Roll

Following an infant’s baptism, over the next three years children at Zion receive occasional mailings and gifts that connect them to faith in our church community

  • Children's Ministry

Learning about God is FUN at Zion. Children ages 4–grade 6 meet each Sunday with their parents for a time of fellowship during the 10am worship service, leaving after the bucket time and returning in time for Holy Communion

  • Confirmation

Sixth, 7th and 8th graders explore their faith, learn the meaning behind the Ten Commandments, Lord’s Prayer, the Apostles Creed and the Sacraments of Baptism and Altar, as well as learning who God is and what it means to be a faithful follower of Jesus. As they prepare to affirm their baptism in the spring of 8th grade, they complete and present a Statement of Faith, first to the congregation’s leadership and then to the congregation on Confirmation Day. Affirming one’s baptism is not the end of faith formation but an important benchmark in the growing of one’s faith.

  • Bible Studies

Dive deep into the the books of the Bible. Weekly bible studies help us grow and understand what God has in store for us.
